We didn’t set out to build a tech company.
We just loved the hobby.
But the deeper we got, the more broken the system felt.
Long wait times. Gatekept knowledge. $100+ grading fees.
And somehow, the only “official” path to knowing your card’s worth still involved shipping it off and hoping for the best.
That didn’t sit right with us.
Because in a $10B+ global market built on community, creativity, and passion — why is grading still controlled by a handful of legacy companies?
Why can’t anyone, anywhere, instantly know what their cards are worth?
So we stopped asking for permission — and built SlabSquad.
A real-time, AI-powered grading tool built for everyone —
from the bedroom collector double-checking the value of their chase pull before listing it,
to the high-volume reseller scaling a six-figure storefront.
No gatekeeping. No guesswork.
Just fast, smart, accessible grading in your pocket.
You built the hobby. We’re building the tools.
Instant grading. Real value. No gatekeepers.
Our mission is simple:
Level the playing field. Empower the player. Build the future of collecting.
Because this hobby deserves better.
And so do the people who built it.
Big Vision. Real Systems. No Bullsh*t.
Kaitlyn Sitek is the kind of founder who can call a show with 3,000 people in the audience — then turn around and build a tech company that scales to 100,000 users.
A lifelong lover of collectibles and high-performance execution, she came into the hobby through community, curiosity, and late-night Pokémon pulls with her daughter.
With a background in large-scale event production and a mind wired for systems thinking, Kaitlyn is the CEO and strategy driver behind SlabSquad. She's not just building an app — she’s building a movement to make grading transparent, accessible, and aligned with modern tech.
Kaitlyn brings sharp financial discipline, powerful brand leadership, and the ability to see 3 years ahead while executing today.
When she’s not leading sprints or snapping strategy into place, you’ll find her reorganizing her card binder, chasing her next favorite show calling gig, or scheming on how to flip the next outdated industry.
Precision Meets Passion
Jamie Lynas is a lifelong Pokémon fan who vividly remembers begging his mum for booster packs as a kid growing up in Scotland. That early love for collecting never left but it evolved into a full-on obsession with grading, value tracking, and the way this community connects across generations.
Before co-founding SlabSquad, Jamie served in the British Armed Forces and later moved to the U.S., where he built a successful career in construction project management. His background taught him discipline, precision, and how to bring complex ideas from blueprint to reality — skills he now uses daily as SlabSquad’s Chief Product Officer.
Jamie is the product heartbeat of SlabSquad. He bridges collector needs with technical execution, translating big vision into real, usable tools. From UI testing to roadmap sprints, he makes sure what gets built actually solves problems — and does it with heart.
When he’s not building, you’ll find him hunting down rare chase cards, comparing slabs, or brainstorming the next big feature with a deck of Pokémon cards always within reach.
